The heatsink is not seated properly and there is a gap between the heatsink and the CPU surface. When I turn it on in the mornings, the screen is a disaster of moving lines etc. Thanks for your help and I hope that this will help somebody who has this same problem. I do have a Toshiba Satellite MS Is this even a possibility? It might be just a loose connection. Thanks for the reply.
